MetaDesign gives fresh look to FONIC’s brand world

Germany’s leading branding agency provides comprehensive branding support for the successful mobile telephony provider

FONIC, a telecommunications service provider with headquarters in Munich, is writing the next chapter in its success story by adapting its brand’s look to today’s market. MetaDesign’s concept and its experience in holistic branding processes gave it the leading edge in the selection of agencies. KMS had developed the original look for the fully-owned Telefonica Group subsidiary’s brand launch in 2007.

As part of an evolutionary branding process, MetaDesign’s specialists will address both content and appearance of the brand’s development. The target is to sharpen FONIC’s profile and its values to create a distinctive and consistent brand experience. Both partners expressly aim for a long-term cooperation, with consulting, innovation and inspiration as the foundation.

FONIC’s mission is to meet its clients’ basic communication needs through clear, fair telecommunication offerings at very low prices. In addition to mobile phone and texting services, the company now also provides mobile internet access. In March 2009 FONIC had 828,000 customers, putting it well within reach of its target of one million customers by the end of 2010. “KMS laid an excellent foundation.
